YouTube's music-streaming app just landed in the Philippines, allowing users to listen to video and music clips even in the background.
YouTube Music Premium launched in the Philippines

Last November 6, the company officially introduced the YouTube Music Premium app for Filipinos, offering the video-streaming giant's thousands of songs and videos, which may compete against Spotify and Apple Music.

A premium experience to help you discover the hottest trends, newest music videos, and curated playlists, YouTube said.

Users only need to pay PHP 129 per month to enjoy background play even if you switch to a different app.

One thing that should be noted is that YouTube has promised there would be no ads and users can download as much content as they like for offline streaming.

This app was initially launched in the US and 16 other countries last June 2018. But this year, YouTube further expand the app's reach to Asia. Aside from the Philippines, YouTube also made this available to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
