Huawei P smart Pro with 48MP cam and side-mounted fingerprint scanner announced

In several European countries, Huawei launched the P smart Pro, a device with similar specs to HONOR 9X, but with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Huawei said that the phone comes in "Midnight Black" and "Breathing Crystal" colorways with 21 layers of nano-textures to create the color gradient.

Huawei P smart Pro features a 19:5:9 6.59-inch FHD+ 2340 x 1080 screen with a 16MP f/2.2 pop-up camera. Under the hood, it uses the 12nm 2.2GHz 64-bit Kirin 710F octa-core processor, Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage formatted with high-performance EROFS file system, and 4,000mAh battery with USB-C 10W charging.

The cameras are the same as well. It packs a 48MP f/1.8 primary camera, 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera.

P smart Pro also has WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual SIM slots. The handset runs with Android 9.0 Pie OS w/ EMUI 9.1 skin.

In Europe, it is priced at about USD 350 (around PHP 17K). In PH, HONOR 9X with similar specs is priced at PHP 12,490 only.
