Staying true to earlier leaks, Vivo launched a totally different version of the V17 in India. It is a V17 with L-shaped camera design, punch-hole screen, and more powerful internals.

The Vivo V17 in India uses a 6.44-inch 20:9 Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 91.38 percent of screen-to-body ratio, and an In-Display fingerprint reader. Inside, it runs with the same chip found on the V17 Pro, the Snapdragon 675 SoC with Adreno 612 GPU.

It is paired with 8GB RAM LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage (dedicated), and 4,500mAh battery with 18W Dual Engine fast charging technology via USB-C.

Basically, it is more powerful than the V17 in Russia with SD675.

For the cameras, the handset has a highlighting a 48MP primary camera, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro, and 2MP portrait sensor.

It also has a 32MP selfie camera inside the 2.98 mm hole. Vivo highlighted that its selfie cam has the Super Night Mode tech for better low-light selfies.

The handset has a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, FM Radio, GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

It runs with Android 9.0 Pie OS w/ Funtoucn OS 9.2 skin on top.

The phone is available in Glacier Ice White and Midnight Black colorways.

In India, it is priced at INR 22,990 or about PHP 16.5K out of straight conversion. It will go on sale from December 17 in India.
