Xiaomi's attempt to break a world record gathered over 700 people eager to open Mi goodies in lower Manhattan.

The purpose of the gathering was to have them all open "MiStery" boxes all at the same time within 5 minutes as a challenge to Mexico's previous record of 643 people unboxing simultaneously.
The event was a success with people excitedly unboxing the free Mi packages containing Mi Laser Projectors to a Mi Electric Scooter
