Huawei files Penta-camera smartphone with Mate 30 Pro-like design in Germany!

91Mobiles reported that Huawei filed a patent with Germany's DMPA. In it is a Mate 30 Pro-like smartphone but with 5 rear cameras!

Is this the Huawei Mate 40 Pro?

Huawei has filed a design patent in Germany's DMPA that looks a lot like the Mate 30 Pro but with 5th rear camera sensors. In front is a slim notch but with three camera sensors that could bring 8 cameras in total. 

To recall, Mate 30 Pro carried a 40MP main SuperSensing camera, 40MP ultra-wide-angle Cine camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 3D ToF depth-sensor camera that scored 121 at DXOMark that you can read about here.

There is no mention if this is a new variant of the Mate 30 nor is there any indication that this could be the Mate 40 Pro. Is it possible that Huawei is planning to retain the iconic Mate 30 design for the next generation but with an additional camera sensor? It should be noted that Huawei has never announced a Mate series smartphone at the early part of the year. So it may make it more likely that this could potentially be early designs for the Mate 40.
