Samsung sold at least 400,000 Galaxy Fold!

Samsung CEO DJ Koh has just revealed the sales figure of the Galaxy Fold. It sold between 400,000 to 500,000 units globally.

While it hasn't reached the previous report stating sold 1M units which the company quickly refuted, the around 400,000 units sold is still impressive.

Let us all remember that the Galaxy Fold is a niche product, limited availability, and it is not cheap at all. In the Philippines, it is actually priced PHP 109,990 or around 2x the price of usual flagship phones.

Samsung also sold all its Galaxy Fold phones in the Philippines.

To recall, the Galaxy Fold is the first foldable smartphone/tablet of the company. When unfolded, you get a 7.3-inch AMOLED screen. When folded, it transforms into a compact phone design with a tall 4.6-inch panel. It also has high-end overall specs and cameras.

After the Galaxy Fold, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 along with the Galaxy S11/S20 line on February 11. It is said to arrive with a lower starting price of around USD 1,000 (around PHP 50K).
