Another extension

During the next 45 days, the Commerce Department will determine the need for any future extensions.

Also, the 45-day extension will allow US companies to find alternatives to Huawei for future operations.

The TGL amends the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to authorize specific, limited engagement in transactions involving the export, re-export, and transfer of items subject to the EAR to Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and non-U.S. affiliates on the Entity List until April 1, 2020.

The US has repeatedly given Huawei extensions since its inclusion to the Entity List.

To recall, Huawei was added to the US Entity list because of "National Security" allegations. Huawei has repeatedly denied the accusations. The US, on the other hand, has failed to show any proof against Huawei up to this date.

The Entity List inclusion of Huawei prevented the innovative Chinese tech giant to pre-load Google on their new phones.

Meanwhile, Huawei has introduced HMS and bolstered the said service to provide an AppStore to its customers.
