Saved by an entry-level Huawei phone

When she woke up, she could not move her legs. She survived the situation because her new phone's battery life still worked when she needed it.

The woman who lives alone, who has rhabdomyolysis, a condition in which damaged skeletal muscle breaks down, reached for her Huawei Y6 and it still had a 50 percent charge.

After that, she rang 999 and was picked up by an ambulance and spent a week in the hospital.

It was the most horrible experience of my life. I can't believe I'm still alive, I wouldn't be if it weren’t for that phone. I wasn't expecting it to work at all but it still had 50 percent battery life. I couldn’t believe it had lasted so long, Beth McDermott

Beth bought the phone days earlier because her previous phone kept losing power. That decision saved her life.

Huawei Y6 2019 is a budget phone packed with a 6.09-inch notch display, MT6761 SoC, 2GB RAM, 8MP cam, and 3,020mAh battery.
