It is now made out of a zirconium-based liquid metal which is touted to be tougher than steel. The hinge is also said to have 100 components inside to make sure that it is a tougher folding mechanism.

The result, it feels better and tougher than any other hinge design we've seen on foldable smartphones yes. The crease is almost non-existent because of this as well.

Fold it and you get a 6.6-inch front fold screen and a 6.38-inch secondary display. It retains its unique way of folding which makes the Mate Xs look like a normal phone while folded.
