Google continues its aid efforts against pandemic

After committing over USD 800 Million for COVID-19 crisis Response (that you can read more about at this link), Google is donating over USD 5 Million worth of advertisement credits to the Philippine government to help in disseminating important COVID-19 related information.

In a public briefing, Google Philippines chief of Government Affairs and Public Policy Yves Gonzales had this to say:

Magagamit po ‘yan ng Philippine government agencies para mailabas ang critical na impormasyon tungkol sa COVID-19 pati na rin sa economic recovery measures In the coming weeks magsisimula na ang mga campaign ng DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment), DTI (Department of Trade and Industry), DICT (Department of Information and Communications Technology), pati na rin ang NEDA (National Economic and Development Authority). Sa ganitong paraan matutulungan ang gobyerno para mailabas ang importanteng mensahe sa mga nagse-search sa Google

GMA reports that the Google Philippines official has confirmed that campaigns for the Department of Health (DOH) and the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) are already live in Google's search engine.

You may have already seen these campaigns like the one screenshot below where an Ad/Link that directs search engine users to the COVID-19 information page of the Department of Health.
