Huawei secures AppGallery, now with four-layer threat detection

To further enhance its security, Huawei has introduced a quad-level security detection on the AppGallery.

It includes the following updates: Four-layer Detection, Privacy Check, Security Vulnerabilities Scanning, Malicious Behavior Detection, and manual Real-name Security Check.

When releasing a new app, developers will require to complete real-name authentication. Malicious app developers cannot create multiple accounts, hence users will be more secured. Also, AppGallery can easily monitor and ban app developers who have bad records.

Moreover, AppGallery has a feature that protects the content from being tampered and prevents leakage of the user's information. It makes sure that all downloaded are secured with app integrity verification, signature verification, threat detection, AI-enabled safeguards. Additionally, malicious in-app behaviors like eavesdropping, monitoring, and screen recordings are keenly detected. 

During app usage, App Gallery inspects the collection and upload of sensitive user data. It also implemented a "Child download reminder" function for parents. This aims to give children the freedom to use Huawei devices without inappropriate adds intruding.
