Smart with 81.8 percent 4G network availability |
Previously, the battle between these two telcos in network availability is neck in neck.
This made Smart the first Filipino operator to pass the 80 percent 4G Availability mark nationwide.
Also, PLDT dominated Globe in nearly all categories in OpenSignal's Mobile Experience Awards.
Smart recorded a better Video Experience, Games Experience, Voice App Experience, Download Speed Experience, Upload Speed Experience, and 4G Availability scores.

Globe's Latency Experience is close to Smart |
Fortunately, Globe's latency experience is close to Smart.
Both Globe and Smart made improvements in the network responsiveness experience as well.
However, Philippine operators still struggle with call quality in the Voice App Experience.
To come up with this report, OpenSignal said that 288,942 devices participated in this test with total measurements of 659,883,359 from November 1 to January 29, 2020.
