The P40 Series runs with the Huawei Mobile services that include the AppGallery. To recall, the AppGallery is pre-packed with necessary apps from categories like entertainment, health, banking, lifestyle, games, and more.

Aside from powerful internals, the Huawei P40 devices have a new feature called MeeTime and Huawei Share. MeeTime is an application that offers high video quality with 1080p Full HD video calls among Huawei phones and tablets. 

It has facial recognition and optimization algorithms for low-light conditions and super-resolution technology for poor network quality. You can also enjoy your video calls with friends and family with its background changing function.

As for the Huawei Share, it lets users to seamlessly connect the P40 phones with the MateBook and the MatePad Pro. This one also enables Multi-Screen Collaboration, an app that lets you flash your phone's screen on a laptop.

This allows easy and quick controls in activities like transferring and editing photos, videos, documents, easy messaging, and others. This screen sharing feature can also also be activated during video calls.

Tagged as camera-centric devices, the P40 series features impressive Leica cameras for high-level mobile photography experience.  The stunning photos from these devices can be upgraded further with some apps such as Camera 360, PicsArt, and others. These are available and downloadable I the AppGallery for free.

However, there are applications not yet available in the said platform but can be downloaded through third-party apps. Lightroom, Snapseed, FaceApp, and Boomerang will still work properly on P40 devices upon installation.
