The chip is rumored to be built using TSMC's 5nm manufacturing process. It uses 2x Gaugin Pro cores based on ARM's new Cortex-X1 cores clocked at 3.0GHz. It'll be paired with 2x Cortex-A78 at 2.6GHz, and 4x Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.
Ryzen C7 may also come with the AMD Radeon RNDA_2 Mobile 4-core custom chip at 700MHz. According to the leak, it is 45 percent faster than Qualcomm's Adreno 650 and it is the first mobile GPU with real-time hardware-accelerated raytracing and variable rate shading.
It will also have support for LPDDR5 RAM, 2K screens at 144Hz, MediaTek 5G UltraSave Modem (2CC Carrier Aggregation + Dual SIM 5G) with dual SIM support, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual-band GPS, and UFS 3.1.
If proven to be true, the AMD could pose a challenge to the likes of Qualcomm, Huawei, MediaTek, and Samsung in the smartphone chip market.
Let us all remember to take this rumor with a grain of salt until anything official is disclosed.
