In Malaysia, Xiaomi has unveiled the new Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C entry-level smartphones.

Both smartphones sport a large 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a dot-drop notch with a resolution of 1600 x 720 at a 20:9 aspect ratio. On both notches are 5MP front-facing shooters. Inside both devices are up to 2GB LPPDR4X RAM, 32GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and a large 5,000mAh battery.

Inside the Redmi 9A is the MediaTek 2.0GHz Helio G25 while the Redmi 9C carries a MediaTek  2.3GHz Helio G35 SoC.

At the back of the Redmi 9A is a single 13MP rear camera while at the back of the Redmi 9C is a fingerprint reader and the square camera module with a 13MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP Depth sensor, and an LED flash.

Both smartphones are running on Android 10 OS-based MIUI 11 and support 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, IR blaster, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi 9A comes in Grey, Blue, and Green while Redmi 9C comes in Orange, Black, and Blue.

Redmi 9A will be available in Lazada Malaysia on July 7 while the Redmi 9C will be available later this July.
