vivo v19 Neo Unboxing and First Impressions
vivo has just brought the v19 Neo to the Philippines. So as usual, we unbox and share our first impressions of the new smartphone.

The vivo v19 Neo is a mid-ranger highlighting a new and exciting design, 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, Adreno 612 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage and 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 18W Dual-Engine Fast Charging.
Note: SD675 is the same chip that the company used for the V15 Pro and V17 Pro.

In front of the device is a large 6.44-inch 20:9 Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a punch hole that houses the 32MP front-facing camera. At the back of V19 Neo are the 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor.

It comes in a dark blue box with the phone, USB Type-A to Type-C cable, 3.5mm in-ear monitors, 18W Dual Engine charging brick, SIM ejector tool, documentation, and transparent bumper case.
The phone also arrived with a pre-installed screen protector, so no need to buy for a new one.

Like the V17 Pro and S1 Pro, the V19 Neo comes in Crystal White colorway that has a pearl-like color scheme where there are hints of off-white, pink, and sky blue depending on how the light hits the back.
The official color names of the phones are Admiral Blue and Crystal White. Our unit is in Crystal White.
The back panel is made of glasstic while the frame is made of lightweight but solid polycarbonate.
On the top left side of the back is the rectangular camera module while at the bottom left side is the vivo branding.
In front, you'll see the glass panel and the Super AMOLED display with a punch hole on the top right side and with an In-Display fingerprint scanner at the lower third part of the display.
Around the display are super slim top and side bezels while the bottom bezel is noticeably thicker.

The aforementioned punch hole is one of the smallest punch holes we've ever seen on a smartphone yet that it surprised us that it housed a massive 32MP selfie camera.
The result, it has a 91.38 percent screen-to-body ratio. That's quite impressive.

On top of the V19 Neo is the single microphone port while at the bottom are the speaker grills, USB type-C, a microphone port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the left side is the triple-slot SIM tray (2 nano-SIM slots and 1 microSD card slot) while on the right side is are the volume rocker and the power button.
As mentioned above, it comes with Snapdragon 675 which is famous for its power efficiency. It scored 235,641 in AnTuTu and scored 509 and 1563 in GeekBench.

Inside the 159.01 x 74.17 x 8.54 mm chassis is the 4,500mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C with an 18W Dual-Engine fast charger. It weighs at only 176 grams.
The premium and lightweight polycarbonate frame with a metal-like finish combined with the glass front and glasstic back make vivo V19 Neo easy to hold and surprisingly not so slippery.
However, it is a big fingerprint magnet and we recommend that you use the included transparent bumper case when you can.

The vivo V19 Neo uses comes with an eye-catching design with solid build materials while offering a beautiful display with one of the smallest punch holes we've ever seen on a smartphone.
It also has decent 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, it is still using the aging Snapdragon 675. It would have been better if they used a newer and more powerful chip similar to what other phones in its class have.
Fortunately, it has a large 4,500mAh battery which could translate to super-long battery life and fairly attractive camera specs and features. The performance is decent in our actual usage so far as well.
