Continuation of teaching and learning during COVID-19

In partnership with Globe Telecom, Liveable Cities Challenge PH and the League of Cities of the Philippines has launched a series of webinar sessions, dubbed as Liveable Cities Lab.

Its first webinar, held last July 22, focused on Digital Transformation in a Post-GCQ World: Online Education under COVID.

The webinar sought to urge communities to bank on technology to "help create a resilient education system and help students bounce-back and continue their learning."

It also underscores the critical role of cities on how they can help schools shift from traditional, face-to-face education to online education, and the challenges of connectivity, devices, curriculum, teacher training, Liveable Cities Challenge PH said on its Facebook page.

The first episode was necessary as the pandemic has forced the education sector to explore blended learning—a mix of face-to-face and online classes, allowing students to still pursue their education despite the global health crisis.

Lessons can be delivered using various channels such as TV, radio, computer devices, and learning modules and packets both in print and digital form.
