PLDT Home outs Prepaid WiFi Cat6 modem with 2x the speed!

PLDT Home has just released the upgraded version of its Prepaid Home WiFi. It now has up to 4G LTE-A Category 6 connection, carrier aggregation, and 2x the speed.

Powered by Smart LTE, the new PLDT Home WiFi Prepaid Cat6 Modem now comes with a bigger body and 2x antenna slots for better overall signal reception.

Size comparison with the older modem

Similar to its Cat4 counterpart, the new home WiFi has a plug and play design, 1GB LPDDR2 RAM, 2x LAN ports for RJ45 cables, reset button, and a SIM slot. It supports WiFi 802.11 n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz) as well.

This new prepaid WiFi is better as it has LTE-A speeds with carrier aggregation. It simply means that it can combine two radio frequency bands to deliver larger bandwidths for faster and more stable internet connectivity.

The device also supports all LTE bands in PH including the Band 28 700MHz frequency for better indoor signal reception.

To load the new prepaid modem, simply register to the improved FamLoad packages:

FamLoad 199 - 24GB data for 7 days

FamLoad 599 - 80GB data for 15 days

FamLoad 999 - 130GB data for 30 days

FamLoad 1499 - 200GB data for 30 days

To load, you can visit the nearest PLDT, Smart, and Sun Stores, Sari-sari Stores, Convenience Stores like 711, Ministop, and Alfamart, and Telco Tiangge. You may also load online via PayMaya, GrabPay, and myPLDT Smart app.

Price and availability

The new PLDT Home WiFi Prepaid Cat6 Modem is priced at PHP 1,995. It will be available for selling at the PLDT Home website in the first week of August.
