Up to 100W charging speeds!

Quick Charge 5 promises up to more than 100W charging speeds on smartphones. It can charge a handset from 0 to 50 percent in 5 minutes or fully charge the device for around 15 minutes.

That's some bold numbers as it is similar to the OPPO 125W flash charge promise of around 13 to 20 minutes charging from 0 to 100 percent.

Qualcomm said that Quick Charge 5 is up to 70 percent more efficient than Quick Charge 4 with up to 4x faster charging and 10 degrees Celcius cooler.

It uses a new Dual Charge technology using the existing USB Power Delivery Programmable Power Supply (PD-PPS) and a 2S battery support to allow double charging of two battery cells.
