Redmi G gaming laptops now for pre-order in China!

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has officially unveiled its affordable gaming laptops called Redmi G. The new Redmi G gaming laptops are equipped with a large 16.1-inch 1080p display that covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space and up to 144Hz display.

All three are equipped with 16GB of DDR4 2933Mhz dual-channel RAM and 512GB of PCIe SSD. It is open for storage expansion with its dual M.2 SSD storage interface and can support up to 2TB of hard disk space. 

Customers are prompted to pick between the Intel 10th Gen i5-10200H with the NVIDIA GTX 1650, the i5-10300H with the NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti, and the i7-10750H with the NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti. To cool all of that hardware, Redmi designed three separate all-copper heat pipes that expel heat out to the large side and back vents.

It is powered by a  55Wh battery that Redmi claims can last up to 5.5 hours of light workloads and basic web surfing. It features two 2W Realtek ALC 256 speakers that support DTS:X Ultra.

The Redmi G connects wirelessly thru WiFi 6 and supports 2X2 MIMO. For ports, it has USB Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen2, USB 2.0, mini-Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, Gigabit Network port, and a 180W power interface.

Lastly, it will be running a China-exclusive version of Windows 10.

China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Intel i5-10200H, GTX 1650, 60Hz - CNY 4,999 (or around PHP 35K)
Intel i5-10300H, GTX 1650Ti, 144Hz - CNY 5,799 (or around PHP 40K)
Intel i7-10750H, GTX 1650Ti, 144Hz - CNY 6,599 (or around PHP 47K)

Pre-orders for the Redmi G gaming laptops have begun in China. There is no word if the line will arrive in the Philippines. There is no word on PH pricing as well.
