Build/Design -  The vivo v19 Neo has slim bezels and a punch-hole display. It also has a glasstic design that is textured with two colors available in Admiral Blue and Crystal White.

OPPO Reno4's back

The OPPO Reno4 has a 3D curved textured polycarbonate design in Galactic Blue and Space Black with reflective patterns. It also has longer punch-hole for dual selfie sensors as well as slim bezels.

Display - The vivo v19 Neo has a 6.44-inch 2.5D curved Super AMOLED Ultra O Screen with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution and 409 ppi pixel density.

OPPO Reno4's screen

The OPPO Reno4 has a 6.43-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protected AMOLED screen with 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution at 409 ppi pixel density.

Both devices have FHD+ screens but the vivo v19 Neo has one of the smallest punch-hole cutouts. Reno4 has Gorilla Glass protection though.

OPPO Reno4, on the other hand, has a 2.3GHz 8nm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor, Adreno 618 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with 30W VOOC flash charge.

OPPO Reno4 has a better processor and GPU. Both have the same amount of RAM and storage as well. vivo v19 Neo has a bigger battery though at 5,000mAh. Reno4 has a faster-charging technology.

Cameras - The OPPO Reno has a quad-camera setup with 48MP f/1.7 w/ AF and EIS + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 w/ 4cm macro + 2MP f/2.4 mono + LED flash. It also has a 32MP f/2.4 + AI-enhanced Smart Sensor for selfies.

vivo v19 Neo has a quad-camera setup as well with a combo of 48MP f/1.7 sensor with PDAF, EIS + 8MP f/2.2 119-degree ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 retro + 2MP f/2.4 mono and LED flash. It also has a 32MP f/2.45 selfie camera.

Both devices have 48MP quad cameras with the same variants of lenses. Both have EIS and an LED flash.

For selfies, OPPO Reno4 takes a slight lead with an AI-enhanced Smart Sensor.

Our thoughts

Based on specs, OPPO Reno4 has a better offering here. It has a better CPU and GPU for performance, a dual-camera selfie with AI-enhanced Smart Sensor, Hi-Res audio with Dolby Atmos support, and a faster 30W VOOC Flash Charge.

The only clear advantage of the V19 Neo is the larger 4,500mAh battery.

Both have similar 48MP quad-cameras so in the camera department, it could go either way.
