Xiaomi today announced a game-changing wireless charging solution—the 80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology.

The world's fastest wireless charging technology!

On paper, it is the fastest wireless charging solution for smartphones yet and it is even faster than the OPPO 65W AirVOOC. The crazy fact, this wireless charging solution is even higher than most flagship smartphones available in the market with 30W to 65W wired charging.

Xiaomi hasn't shared the tech inside the device yet. But we suspect that it has several cooling solutions to prevent the charger from heating up.

100 percent in 19 minutes!

On its demo, Xiaomi showed a modified Mi 10 Pro being charged by the new 80W Mi wireless charger. It charged to 10 percent in 1 minute, 50 percent in 8 minutes, and 100 percent in 19 minutes.

In comparison, the wired Mi 10 Pro with 30W wired or wireless charging can charge its 4,780mAh battery from 0 to 100 percent in 69 minutes.

To be fair, the battery that Xiaomi used on the modified test phone is just 4,000mAh. But still, charging it to 100 percent in just 19 minutes is WILD.

Xiaomi hasn't mentioned when will this tech be available on its phones and in the market yet.
