Spotify now has Snapchat-like stories on specific playlists

Spotify now has a Snapchat/Instagram-like stories feature for specific playlists. It is confirmed to be in its testing phase too.

Spotify Stories could be an official feature soon

It is available in different Spotify-made playlist

Spotify confirmed to Engadget that some of its curated playlists will now feature Stories. These Spotify Stories will be similar to what you see on IG and Snapchat. Artists will be able to share content for their fans here like behind-the-scenes access and messages.

What playlist got the features? Spotify-made playlists. Some of the tested playlists include the "The Christmas Hits" playlist, "Tear Drop" rap playlist and the enhanced version of Megan Thee Stallion's debut album.

As it is in its testing phase, Spotify did not confirm if users will be able to post their personal stories as well. It is part of Spotify's efforts to continue experimenting with new features. This will allow Spotify to provide a broader and more intuitive user experience.

Spotify Stories has been a feature already available for artists since last year. It now adds the music streaming giant to the list of platforms that adopted the feature like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
