For Photos, the device achieved a score of 144 points. For Zoom, it recorded 98 points. For Video, it got 115 points. It is the highest for Photos and Videos yet. For Zoom, only the Mi 10 Ultra has a slightly higher Zoom score.
Huawei achieved this feat by using a Leica-tuned 5-rear camera configuration starring a 50MP f/1.9 Ultra Vision Camera with OIS + 20MP f/2.4 Cine Camera + 12MP f/24 3x Optical Zoom with OIS + 8MP f/4.4 SuperZoom with 10x Optical Zoom and OIS + 3D Depth Sensing Camera with AF.
With a DXOMARK Camera score of 139, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ is the new king of cameras in our DXOMARK Camera smartphone ranking, offering excellent performance across all sub-categories. It delivers the highest Photo score (144) we have seen to date and comes a close second in both the Zoom and Video categories, making it an excellent choice for any kind of mobile imaging application.
DxOMark concluded that it has a wide dynamic range in all conditions, nice white balance, excellent detail, fast/accurate autofocus, pleasant neutral results in low light, and effective video stabilization.
The camera testers noted that this device is currently the king of camera phones.
