ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro wins!

It's a blind smartphone photography comparison test where he asked his followers to vote on Twitter or via Instagram Stories. The test aims to know what photos people like without biases as they do not know the phone they are voting for.

The tests were done in different lighting conditions with no tap to focus on each tested phone.

MKBHD and his team tested a total of 16 phones in the test which includes heavy hitters like the iPhone 12 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra, Mi 10 Ultra, and Huawei Mate 40 Pro along with other smartphones in different price points.

In total, it garnered over 10 million combined votes to crown a winner. The surprise? Apple's iPhone 12 Pro Max failed to make it in the first round because of "white balance" issues.

The bigger surprise? The mostly unknown ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro is the overall winner by besting the Mi 10 Ultra in the final round.

To win it all, ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro bested the likes of the LG Wing, Pixel 5, Mate 40 Pro, and Mi 10 Ultra.

MKBHD noted probably the reason why ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro won the test is due to the consistency of its cameras. He still thinks that it isn't the best camera phone for photos, but it is for those in need of a consistent camera phone.

To recap, ZenFone 7 Pro uses a flip camera design made up of a 64MP f/1.8 1/1.73-inch main camera, 12MP f/2.2 1/2.55-inch ultra-wide-angle camera with 4cm Macro, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom.

During the test, he also discovered that images on Instagram Stories look different on Twitter. It probably affected the overall results of his blind test.

Interestingly, there's no low light and zoom camera test considering these are conditions where are a lot of smartphone makers focused lately.
