Xiaomi releases Redmi 9 Power, a Redmi Note 9 4G with macro cam

Xiaomi earlier announced the newest member of the Redmi 9 family called Redmi 9 Power.

Redmi 9 Power is similar to the new version of Redmi Note 9 4G announced in China a month back, but with an extra 2MP macro camera.

Having said that, the phone boasts a similar textured back design with rays and a Redmi logo embossed vertically on its lower left side. It comes in four color options including Blazing Blue, Electric Green, Fiery Red, and Might Black.

In the front, the device uses a 6.53-inch 2.5D curved LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, 11nm Snapdragon 662 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB UFS 2.1 or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, and 6,000mAh battery with USB-C 18W charging support. Note that the charger included in the package is a 22.5W brick which is backward compatible with its 18W charging support.

For cameras, it features a 48MP f/1.78 shooter with an 8MP f/2.2 118-degree ultra-wide cam, 2MP f/2.4 macro cam, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth cam. In the front, there's an 8MP f/2.0 shooter.

It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, IR sensor, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS + GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

This device runs Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 skin.

Redmi 9 Power 128GB - INR 11,999 (around PHP 7.8K)

In India, the 64GB variant is priced at INR 10,999 and the 128GB edition retails for INR 11,999.
