CES 2021: Lenovo announces IdeaPad 5G, IdeaPad 5i Pro/5 Pro, Tab P11

During CES 2021, Lenovo announced a slew of new products including the IdeaPad 5G, IdeaPad 5 Pro, IdeaPad 5i Pro, and Tab P11.

As the move to 5G becomes more aggressive around the globe, the new IdeaPad 5G aims to take advantage of it.

The IdeaPad 5G is an ultra-portable, 5G ready laptop with a 14-inch IPS screen with 1080p FHD resolution, 300nits brightness, and 100 percent sRGB quality color gamut.

Inside, it features a Snapdragon 8cx 5G CPU, Adreno 680 graphics, and Snapdragon X55 Modem-RF system. It also has up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD storage. It also offers up to 20 hours of battery life. Of course, the highlight is the 5G connectivity. It can connect via a 5G network with sub-6GHz support, 4G LTE, and WiFi 5.

Other features include upward-facing speakers with Dolby Audio support, IR webcam with Windows Hello support, Rapid Charge Express technology, and USB-C charging port. The IdeaPad 5G only measures 14.9mm thick and weighs just 1.2 kg.

There are also the new IdeaPad 5i Pro and 5 Pro. The IdeaPad Pro has two variants with either a 14-inch or 16-inch IPS screen. It will have slim bezels, a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, 100 percent sRGB coverage, 90Hz screen, 2K resolution, and TÜV Rheinland certification.

Inside, it could either have an AMD Ryzen or an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA MX450 GPU, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, 55.6WHr/75WHr battery with Rapid Charge Express, and a Thunderbolt 4 port.

The 16-inch IdeaPad 5 Pro will have AMD Ryzen CPUs, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, and 1TB M.2 SSD.

Next, the Lenovo Tab P11 features an 11-inch IPS touchscreen with a 2K resolution, 400 nits brightness, and TÜV Rheinland certification. Inside, it has a Snapdragon 662 processor, 6GB RAM, advanced LTE, Qualcomm FastConnect, and a battery rated for 15 hours of usage. It comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office apps, and Kids Space from Google. It also has an 8MP front camera and a Smart Privacy Feature to blur your background. It also has quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

For productivity, it also has an ultra-thin Keyboard Pack with a built-in trackpad. The Lenovo Precision Pen 2 can expand the creative options for the user. It has a 60mAh battery and USB-C charging.
