IDC: vivo ranked among the top 5 global smartphones brands in 2020

International Data Corporation (IDC) came out with a report for the top 5 smartphones in 2020. vivo was able to crack the list with increased shipments.

vivo showed positive growth in 2020

IDC shows vivo has an 8.6 percent in market share and over 110 million shipments

vivo as a company showed positive growth amidst the pandemic in 2020. The company joins other big names like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and Xiaomi.

vivo recorded an 8.6 percent market share with shipments exceeding 110 million devices. The company also got a year-over-year growth of over 1 percent.

Additionally, vivo holds the second position in the Chinese smartphone market and the third in India. It is holding the top spot in Indonesia. vivo continues its growth and innovation with a network of 9 R&D centers located in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Nanjing, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo, and San Diego.

The new vivo Y31 is scheduled to come to the Philippines on February 5. It is a budget phone that has a premium-looking glass-like back, a 6.58-inch FHD+ screen, Snapdragon 662, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery.
