Build/Design - The two devices using polycarbonate materials for the backplate and the frame. Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a textured body while the Huawei Y7a features a glossy, mirror-like finish. The Redmi 9T has Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well as splash-proof nano-coating.
The front panels are made out of glass. Y7a is the most affordable with a top-center punch-hole yet.

Redmi 9T's chipset is a tad faster than Huawei here. It also has a larger max RAM and battery.
The Huawei Y7a has a faster charging tech though.

It is basically a tie here with both sporting a 48MP quad-cameras with secondary sensors sporting the same functionalities.
From memory, they are neck and neck in actual camera performance.

Our thoughts
Xiaomi's Redmi 9T is the better overall. It has slightly faster specs with faster performance, stereo speakers, more features, and a more affordable variant.
But, this doesn't mean that the Y7a is not competitive. In fact, this is a close race in person.
Those who prefer a stylish phone might go for the Y7a and we won't blame them.
