Announced in late January 2021, the new Sony Alpha 1 is coming to the Philippines soon. Inside the new camera is the 50.1-megapixel full-frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with In-body image stabilization and with the BIONZ XR processor. The new combination promises up to eight times more processing power than the previous generation.
This results in blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30fps and super-fast 120AF/AE calculations per second (double than the previous generation Alpha 9 II).
At the back is a 9.44M-dot OLED display electronic viewfinder with a refresh rate of 240fps and below it is a 3-inch 1.44M dot tilting touch display.
On the sensor is what Sony claims to be the fastest mechanical shutter ever with a flash sync o up to 1/4000 sec and an Electronic shutter flash sync of up to 1/200 sec.
The camera can record up to 8K at 30fps 10-bit 4:2:0 and up to 4K 120fps 10-bit 4:2:2. It also comes with improved real-time eye autofocus for humans, animals, and birds.
Coming from Sony's FX9 and FX6 cinema cameras is the new S-Cinetone color matrix that Sony says will offer a more cinematic look.
