In Q2 2021, Globe is set to expand its 5G Roaming services to more countries in Asia, North America, and Europe. This will be a big plus for OFWs.

The Globe 5G Roaming expansion will include the countries Oman, China, Japan, Macao in Asia, some areas in North America, and European regions such as Belgium and Luxembourg. This is to give OFWs and Filipino travelers a chance to experience 5G connectivity with Globe even abroad.

This is good news for Globe users with 5G-enabled smartphones and devices as they can ultimately experience 5G’s fast e connection within these new 5G-ready areas. This means high speeds, HD quality video calls, and all-day social media updates.

Globe’s 5G Roaming services will not be limited to customers traveling out of the Philippines as foreign travelers visiting the Philippines will also get to enjoy the 5G technology provided they are subscribed to partner-telcos of Globe.

In 2021, Thailand and UAE are the latest additions to Globe’s global 5G Network expansion, allowing Filipinos in the Philippines to stay connected to relatives, loved ones, and vast opportunities situated in these countries. The telco giant has also successfully cemented its partnership with other telco partners including Ooredoo in Kuwait and Qatar, SK Telecom in South Korea, and CSL in Hong Kong.
