Globe keeps on getting better

Opensignal shared that Globe's performance in 4G Availability, Download Speed Experience, and Video Experience has been consistently improving. Its 4G availability improved the most by scoring 2.2 percentage points (PPTs) to 82.6 percent making Smart's lead drop by nearly 30 percent from 5 percentage points to 3.6 PPTs.

For Video Experience, Globe improved by 15.4 points. It reduced Smart's lead by more than half versus last month. The Download Speed Experience of the company also improved by 16.4 percent. From 7.4 Mbps, it is now up to 8.6 Mbps.

The reason behind this is Globe's aggressive site builds and efforts to migrate customers nationwide from 3G to 4G LTE.

Our continuously improving performance in mobile and data services shows our strong commitment to deliver on our promise of a #1stWorldNetwork. The steady improvements significantly reduced the gaps in speed such that, from a user standpoint it is hardly noticeable. More than speed, customers want consistent, reliable connectivity that comes with an enriching digital experience, shared Ernest Cu, Globe President and Chief Executive Officer.

Note: Opensignal - Philippines Mobile Network Experience Report April 2021 is based on independent analysis of mobile measurements recorded during the period Jan. 1 to Mar. 31, 2021.
