HONOR Tablet X7

An affordable tablet with a huge screen and a kid-friendly variant

HONOR already produced smartphones in the past, but the Tablet X7 is said to be its first attempt in the tablet market as an independent company.

The back panel of this device is made of metal and has a fine sand texture for a comfortable grip.

The  Tablet X7 flaunts an 8-inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels of resolution, 300 nits peak brightness, and 189 ppi. It comes with slim bezels on the sides but a relatively thick chin and forehead bezel.

HONOR equipped this one with eBook mode to prevent eye fatigue during prolonged reading sessions.

Under the hood, the Tablet X7 carries a 12nm MediaTek Helio P22T octa-core SoC which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Aside from that, it packs a microSD card slot for storage expansion by up to 512GB. This is powered by a 5,100mAh battery that draws power through a micro USB port at up to 10W.

The device has two cameras–a 5MP main camera with autofocus and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack to let you listen to music through wired earphones.

Connectivity options on the Honor Tab X7 include dual-band WiFi, 4G (optional), GPS, A-GPS, and Bluetooth 5.1.

To make this device kid-friendly, HONOR has geared this with an education center and other features customed for children.

It is 8.5 mm thin and weighs 325 grams.
