Samsung has been an Olympics Worldwide Partner for several years now and have released several collaborations like the Galaxy S20 Olympics Games Edition that featured the Tokyo Olympics 2020 logo.

Recently, Samsung and Japanese telco NTT Docomo have jointly launched the new Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Edition. Unlike the predecessor, the new S21 5G Olympic Games edition only features the IOC's five-circle logo on the back. There is also no mention of the upcoming XXXII Olympics on the phone or on the carrier's promotional materials.

To recap, the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G features a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2400 x 1080 resolution and Gorilla Glass Victus. Inside is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC, Adreno 660, 8GB RAM, 128GB ROM, and 4000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, wireless and reverse wireless charging.

At the back is a 64MP 3x telephoto, 30X Space zoom camera, 12MP main camera, and 12MP ultra-wide camera with LED flash while in front is a 10MP selfie camera.

It will feature a unique wallpaper and unique gold and purple colorway.

The new phone is currently up for pre-order in Japan thru NTT Docomo but with no price tag.

There is no word yet if it will be available for sale in other countries like the Philippines.

What do you guys think?
