This news came almost 2 months following a court ruling win versus the US government stating that the ban is "arbitrary and capricious" and deprived the company of its due process rights.

Bloomberg noted that sides agreed "upon a path forward that would resolve this litigation without the need for a contested briefing" suggesting that the S Defense Department backed down from de-listing the manufacturer from global benchmark indexes.

To recap, Xiaomi sued the US government back in January over its inclusion on a Pentagon blacklist which prevents Americans from investing in the company. The Chinese tech giant said that they have always been in compliance with the law and they are not a "Communist Chinese Military Company".

Xiaomi and US courts have yet to comment regarding this matter.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a regular press briefing in Beijing she wasn’t aware of any deal the firm may have reached with the US.

At the moment, Xiaomi is the world's 3rd largest mobile maker just behind Apple and Samsung.
