11th Intel Core H-series now official

The series is led by the flagship Intel Core i9-11980HK processors touted by the company as the "World's Best Gaming Laptop Processor". This processor delivers the highest performance in laptops by Intel for gaming, content creation, and business with boost speeds up to 5.0GHz. In a nutshell, Intel wants to bring desktop-grade performance to laptops.

The 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processors will be based on the 10nm SuperFin process technology, can have up to 8 cores and 16 threads with single and dual-core turbo performance up to 5.0GHz. The CPU can also directly support GDDR6 video memory as well. It also supports 20 lanes of PCIe Gen 4 which will a first for any laptop. In addition, Intel Killer WiFi 6E, Intel Optane, and Thunderbolt 4.0 are supported.

Intel vPro H-series, Xeon W-11000 series

Intel vPro H-series and Xeon W-11000 series also launched. The vPro H-series is headlined by the 8-core, 16-thread Intel Core i9-11950H. Built on the Intel vPro platform, it delivers hardware-based security and high performance for professionals such as engineers, data scientists, content creators, and financial analysts. These are fields that need multi-threaded performances for their apps.

The Intel Xeon W-11000 series and Intel Core vPro platform features the following:

1. Xeon + Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory
2. Intel Hardware Shield
3. Intel Total Memory Encryption
4. Intel Active Management Technology
5. Intel Deep Learning Boost​.
