Garmin Venu 2 fitness smartwatches now official in the Philippines

Aiming to push Filipinos to adopt a healthier lifestyle, Garmin just released the Venu 2 and 2S GPS smartwatches.

These new fitness watches come with new features like fitness age and sleep score and are designed to provide users with deeper and more meaningful insights into their overall wellness.

The Venu 2 comes with a 45mm watch face and two design combinations: a silver bezel with granite blue and silicone band and a slate bezel with a black silicone band.

As for the Venu 2S, it has a smaller watch face of 40mm but has four combinations.

This includes a Slate bezel with a Graphite case and silicone band, a Light Gold bezel with a Light sand case and silicone band, a Silver bezel with a Mist Gray case and silicone band, and Rose Gold bezel with a White case and silicone band.

An AMOLED screen that can display sports apps and graphics

The Venu 2 series features a bright AMOLED display that can clearly show 25 built-in sports apps with an enhanced strength training profile and added muscle map graphics. According to Garmin, Venu 2 has a battery life of up to 11 days in smartwatch mode whereas the Venu 2S goit 10 days. Both come with a rapid recharging feature.

The Venu 2 and Venu 2S are equipped with  24/7 health monitoring features, including heart rate with user-configurable alerts for high or low readings, fitness age, advanced sleep with sleep score and insights, respiration, Pulse Ox3, all-day stress, and hydration. For women's health, these wearable have a menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking function.

In addition to this, there's a Body Battery feature that can show how "charged" your body is. This can be handy for scheduling workouts, rest times, and sleep. Moreover, these smartwatches sport a Health Snapshot feature that allows recording of two-minute sessions that log key health stats and generate a report that can be sent to a healthcare provider.

The new wearables from Garmin also boast built-in music and smart notifications for text messages, calendar reminders, incoming calls, and others. These smart features allow users to download up to 650 songs, including playlists from Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. They also enable Android users to reply to text messages directly from the device.

The Venu 2 and Venu 2S are both available in all Garmin Brand Stores, Kinetic website, and official flagship stores in Shopee and Lazada.
