In early June 2021, realme has finally brought the new realme C25s to the Philippines. It retains most of the specs and features from the original realme C25 like the TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification, 6.5-inch HD+ LTPS display with waterdrop notch, an 8MP selfie camera, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB of storage, 6,000mAh battery with USB-C 19W charging and 48MP triple-rear cameras.

The big change is the new 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 now powers the device instead of the original's MediaTek Helio G70.

In the Philippines, the new C25s start at PHP 7,490.

Let's dive in.

The realme C25s retains the same design and materials used. It is made of a combination of glass and polycarbonate that makes it lightweight and solid.

Certified to be reliable and tough

There is no mention of glass protection in the front and any sort of water resistance, but it has the TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification.

To recap, TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification means that the three-year life cycle of this smartphone has been tested. to pass TÜV Rheinland's rigorous 10 Daily Use Test Scenarios, 6 Components Reliability Test Scenarios, and 7 Extreme Environment Test Scenarios to ensure its durability and overall reliability.

At the back is a unique dual-pattern design with the realme logo, triple-rear cameras with LED flash, and fingerprint scanner.

The phone measures 164.5 x 75.9 x 8.6mm and weighs only 209 grams. It is slim and lightweight even though it has a massive 6,000mAh battery.

The realme C25s can take reasonably sharp, detailed, and vibrant images in daylight. The selfie is a bit darker than expected. We will have to take our time and test all the cameras in more situations to see how it performs.

But so far, this is a respectable affordable camera shooter.

As of the moment

For now, the realme C25s is looking to be an interesting pick for smartphones priced at PHP 10K and below. It could be good for those who are looking for an extra-durable smartphone with competitive specs at an affordable price point.
