Axie Infinity's official Discord server locks Philippines Channel indefinitely

In case you missed it, Axie Infinity admin banned the Philippines' channel on their official Discord server earlier today!

Countless warnings were given

Reports say that Filipinos spammed non-stop on Discord. This has given the moderators a reason to take the harsh move to 'lock' Filipinos as the community continued to chat in Tagalog despite warnings.

Being locked means users can no longer send messages on the channel.

Various gaming-centric blogs have posted screenshots of Filipinos' unkind comments towards international gamers particularly the Indonesians. One hateful comment can be read: "samin na 'tong server niyo mga b*b* Indo***".

Aside from the spamming and hateful comments, Axie Infinity has given countless warnings regarding the use of the Filipino language outside the Philippines channel. Anyone who speaks in a different language besides English on the official discord server of Axie Infinity will now be banned. 

As of writing, Axie Infinity is yet to make an official announcement regarding the ban. The gaming platform is still facing connection issues due to a massive rush of users. 

Remember that respect begets respect whether you are in a gaming platform or in-person interaction.
