South Korean tech giant LG has just released an updated version of its PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier. Now, it has built-in mic and speakers.
Also, coming from the first PuriCare, it is now smaller and lighter with a more efficient motor.
The latest PuriCare mask still uses a pair of HEPA-style filters with 3x LG Dual fans controlling airflow by automatically sensing the user's breathing patterns. But, it muffles the users' speech. So, this new version is now equipped with the "VoiceON" technology which recognizes when the users are talking and amplifies their voice through the built-in speaker.
The updated PuriCare mask also has a built-in 1,000mAh battery that can be recharged in two hours with a USB cable. It weighs just 94 grams and can also be worn comfortably for up to 8 hours.
This product can also minimize the inconveniences of other face masks like fogging up eyeglasses, making your haw sweat, and restricting airflow.
LG doesn't guarantee that the mask will protect users from getting COVID though.
The device will be available in Thailand next month. Other markets will follow once approved by local regulators.
The official SRP is unknown for now.
