To recap, the Nord 2 is using Google's Android 11 OS with OxygenOS 11.3 skin. But, unlike older standalone OxygenOS skins, this one is a custom OPPO ColorOS skin. In the OnePlus Nord 2 Review's Guide, OnePlus said that OxygenOS is based on Android 11/Color OS 11.3.

Longtime OnePlus users may be disappointed with this move, but initial tests show that OxygenOS 11.3 runs without a hitch and there's no huge change with the software.

OnePlus also previously shared that will not notice this change since it is happening behind the scenes.

Moreover, it will make the team of OnePlus larger and more capable with more advanced R&D resources a more streamlined development process to improve the OxygenOS experience.

If true, there's nothing to worry about even for longtime OnePlus fans. Besides, ColorOS has improved so much the past few years and the one they used on the OPPO Find X3 Pro is one of the cleanest and smoothest skins we tested this year.
