5 reasons why you should try DITO Telecommunity promos

It has strong signals where I don't get a strong signal from other networks

1. Deep signal penetration - Compared to other networks, DITO Telecommunity gives us 3 to full bars almost all the time in our Antipolo home. Other networks have a hard time providing a strong signal in our home. However, this is a by-location experience as other members of our team report that other networks provide similar or better service in their area.

But in my personal experience in Antipolo, we were able to get full bars in areas where we only get 1 to 2 bars. This means more consistent mobile data speeds and reliability. It does not even go down 4G. It maintains 4G LTE all the time while other networks dip to H or H+.

We know that this varies per location, but still, our experience with DITO is pretty solid.

2. Fast data connection - On average, we get around 60 to 80 Mbps of download speeds and 20 Mbps upload speeds with DITO.

With other networks in our area in Antipolo, we are lucky if we were able to get around 10 Mbps for both. We did tests at different times of the day and it remained consistent with fast and reliable speeds. However, we would like to point that this is still location-based. Our experience may be different from yours depending on where you are. With our team, some areas have the country's two other major networks ahead while in some areas all three networks provide sub-par speeds.

You can even share your mobile data with other DITO subscribers as well. With this fast speed, you can also be a reliable mobile hotspot for your friends.

3. VoLTE + Unlimited Calls and Texts - Aside from mobile data for internet usage, VoLTE is a key feature in DITO. You won't be able to use its mobile data connection if your device isn't VoLTE capable. In our case, we did not get any mobile data capability with our POCO X3 NFC. Switching to our realme 7, we immediately got an LTE connection with the VoLTE indicator beside it. 

Why should you care about VoLTE? VoLTE will provide you one of the best voice call experiences. It relies on LTE connection instead of the traditional 2G and 3G networks. With VoLTE, dropped calls will be seldom while the call quality for audio will be improved as well. In addition, compared to traditional solutions, VoLTE does not hamper your mobile data connection while the older ways will cut off your connection while on a call.

To take advantage of this, the 25GB DITO promo will include unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls, 300 minutes of calls to other networks, and UNLIMITED texts to all networks. DITO subscribers can also do Video Calls over LTE or ViLTE with other subscribers. This is available for DITO-certified mobile handsets via the phone's call feature.

4. Easy Registration - The DITO Telecommunity mobile app allows for easy registration and access to all available promo. It has an intuitive design with touch and swipe navigation. Your remaining data, call minutes, and texts are readily available. There's built-in chat support as well if you need help. You can pay via Debit/Credit card, GCash, WeChat Pay, Grab Pay, and your DITO load balance. You can also keep track of your spending with its expansive history logs.

5. Value for money - The 25GB DITO Prepaid Data promo is priced at PHP 199. If you buy it bundled with a DITO 5G-ready SIM Card, you can get it for a total of PHP 239. 25GB of mobile data is a lot especially since it is valid for 30 days. There's even a 10GB option for even less at PHP 99. We were able to stack it on top of each other for a total of 35GB of all access LTE data.

Quick thoughts

DITO's performance has impressed us so far. In several areas we tested its services, results are mostly above-average to excellent versus the competition. If you have DITO in your area, speed is stable, deep signal penetration, and value-packed plans.

There are areas where it'll have downtimes, but that is understandable since they are just starting. But, for a company that is just around 7 months old, its performance is not bad. In fact, it is very promising.

As mentioned earlier, the company is committed to expanding its reach to provide a better connectivity experience to Filipinos.

As of now, the SIM Card is 5G-ready, but DITO has yet to roll out its own 5G services.
