Last year, DisplayMate claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's screen is superior. But this time, this flagship device bagged the "Best Smartphone Display Award" from the company.

To recall, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch display that boasts a Super Retina XDR display in an OLED panel. It supports an adaptive refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz featuring ProMotion display technology.

According to Apple, this technology enables the display to refresh from a power-preserving 10 times per second to an ultra-smooth 120 times per second depending on the type of content that is on the screen.

DisplayMate reported that iPhone 13 Pro Max set was the highest full-screen brightness for smartphones with OLED displays. Allegedly, the device has a max brightness of 1,000 nits for typical content and 1,200 nits for HDR content.
