Redmi 9 Activ with Helio G35 SoC and 5,000mAh battery now official in India

Xiaomi just launched the Redmi 9 Activ in India. It is a budget device featuring the Helio G35 SoC, 6.5-inch HD+ screen, and a huge 5,000mAh battery.

13MP + 2MP dual cameras

The Redmi 9 Activ boasts a textured back with an anti-slip finish. It is also touted to be fingerprint-resistant. It has a polycarbonate body with a square camera bump housing the dual-camera setup. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back as well. It is available in Metallic Purple, Carbon Black, and Coral Green colors.

Big battery

Upfront, it has a 6.53-inch LCD screen with 1600 x 720 HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 400 nit brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, and 269 ppi pixel density. It also has a dot drop notch for the selfie camera.

Inside, it houses the 2.3GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core processor, PowerVR 8320 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging.

For cameras, it has a triple-camera setup with a 13MP f/2.2 sensor with PDAF + 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor with LED flash. It is also backed by AI technology. For selfies, it has 5MP f/2.2 with AI portrait mode.

It also has WiFi, 4G LTE, dual SIM card, rear fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, and AI Face Unlock.

India price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Redmi 9 Activ 4GB/64GB - INR 9,499 (around PHP 6.5K)

Redmi 9 Activ 6GB/128GB - INR 10,999 (around PHP 7.6K)

The Redmi 9 Activ is currently available in India only. Local price and availability are yet to be confirmed. We will update you as soon as we get more information.
