More powerful and versatile than its predecessor

As a successor to the Osmo Action, this camera has a compact yet rugged build that promises impressive video specs. Allegedly, it features several add-on modules and configurations. This enables users to fit the DJI Action 2 to their lifestyle and needs. 

Without any modules, the DJI Action 2 is 39 x 39 x 22.3mm and weighs only 56g. The action cam is waterproof without a case down to 10m. With the waterproof case, it can be safely used at depths of 60m. The camera has a single built-in mic.

The camera unit of this device sports a 1.76-inch OLED touchscreen with an additional OLED screen on the front touchscreen module. The added screen is placed securely to the bottom of the camera via magnetic locks. This allows users allowing users to set up a selfie and vlog more conveniently.

Aside from that, DJI equipped this camera with Gorilla Glass Protection and makes users of haptic feedbacks on its touchscreens. With the SnapShot feature, users can turn on the camera and instantly start recording in just a second. They just have to hold the power button to activate it.

The camera is packed with a 1/1.7-inch sensor with 12MP resolution and an ultra-wide 15-degree lens with an f/2.8 aperture. The company has upgraded the stabilization features with Rocksteady 2.0 and HorizonSteady. The latter is said to make sure the horizon remains horizontal no matter how much the camera moves around.

In addition, Action 2 can perform 4K recording up to 120 fps in 16:9 mode and up to 60 fps in 4:3 mode. Its storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 256GB. Inside, this is equipped with a  580 mAh battery that is said to offer runtime up to 70 minutes.

For connectivity, this device has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It connects with the DJI Mimo app, which offers expanded functionality like a live video feed from the camera, story templates, and more.
Several modules

The DJI Action 2 has a lot of modules that are also now available. The Front Touchscreen Module adds a front-facing OLED and 4-mic Matrix Stereo array. it also extends battery life, adds a USB-C port, and adds a memory card slot. 

Meanwhile, the Magnetic Lanyard lets users attach Action 2 to their clothing. As for the Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount, it is an adhesive base to attach the Action 2 to almost any surface. 

There's also a Remote Control Extension Rod, DJI Floating Handle, Action 2 Waterproof Case, Action 2 Magnetic Headband, and Action 2 Macro Lens launched. For those who want better audio, the company has also announced the DJI Mic. It is a dual-channel wireless recording system compatible with the Action 2 and other devices with a 3.5mm audio or USB-C input.
