Heart Evangelista to launch her first NFTs this November

Fashion icon/entrepreneur Heart Evangelista is working with Filipino artists to create her first NFT or non-fungible token.

Combination of art and technology that lets artists express themselves?

In the past year, NFTs have become popular as collectors and artists turn to the digital market amid the pandemic. The digital asset, which can be art, music, and even GIFs, memes, and tweets. Basically, they exist on a blockchain and are bought and sold online.

Heart is joining the bandwagon as she announced that she'll be introducing her first non-fungible tokens (NFTs) this coming November. 

Along with the explanation in the caption, Evangelista posted a photo of herself pouring efforts and hard work into her art. She said that she has been studying NFTs in the past months and talking with local artists to make her first NFTs possible.

Evangelista explained that NFTs is a new kind of digital art that is secured by blockchain technology and can take many digital forms including art, videos, and music. She said that anything that can be stored digitally can be made into an NFT. She added, 

These are really cool because they let a buyer prove that they are the true owner of a piece of art even if the art can be freely viewed by the public online. It’s such an interesting combination of art and technology that lets artists express themselves in a whole new way!

For the previous months, the fashion icon has been in talks with Filipino NFT artist Luis Buenaventura and Manila Philharmonic Orchestra composer Rodel Colmenar. As a result, Heat said she was able to create her very first NFTs using some of her favorite pieces. She expressed her excitement about working with talented artists to bring NFT pieces to life.

Heart Evangelista mentioned that her NFTs will be available on the OpenSea marketplace starting November 4, 2021. She guaranteed her fans that she'll post more information soon on how to own her NFTs.
