This 27-inch monitor comes with an IPS panel, 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms (GtG) response time, and HDR-10 certification. It supports NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync, and covers 99 percent of the sRGB color space which we will all further talk about later.

Performance

This 27-inch FHD Monitor also boasts a refresh rate of 144Hz with a response time of 1ms. This is perfect for gamers who want to have the fastest possible panel to give them an edge in multiplayer games. The monitor is also Nvidia G-Sync and Free Sync compatible. Both GPU brands will be able to utilize variable refresh rates while minimizing screen tearing and stutter for a smoother, faster gaming experience.

In terms of real-world use, we had not encountered any issues using the monitor for gaming and casual work. We tested the monitor using a PS4 Pro and a laptop and it turned out great on both devices. It even served as a great display for watching movies and TV shows.

Verdict

Overall, the LG UltraGear 27GL650F-B is a decent gaming monitor with its 27-inch IPS-level Panel, 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and HDR-10.

The display has great viewing angles thanks to its IPS panel. The monitor also offers great peak brightness for both SDR as well as HDR content. We think that the 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, along with its G-sync and FreeSync compatibility, will give gamers an edge especially in competitive games.
