Globe today said that the company has upgraded 65 provinces and its customers are already experiencing improved connectivity.

Upgraded connectivity in the provinces?

In particular, the company said that its customers have already benefited from clearer calls, faster data browsing, and minimal connection delay as a result of new and upgraded sites in 419 towns and cities across 65 provinces.

During the same period, Globe completed 104 new cell installations and 1,751 site upgrades.

Globe used 4G LTE, the fourth-generation cellular network technology in those areas.

The most notable improvement in network services is reported by customers in Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Negros Oriental, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Bukidnon, Antique, Misamis Oriental, Capiz, Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Cebu, Aklan and the National Capital Region.

Customers in the cities and towns of Cabanatuan, Tarlac, Olongapo, Mariveles, Bacolod, Urdaneta, San Jose del Monte, Dumaguete, Bago, Talavera, Kabankalan, Quezon City, Cadiz, Gapan, Roxas, Malaybalay, San Carlos, and Manila also experienced a similar elevated connectivity experience.

At the moment, Globe is accelerating network rollouts to bring better communication services to its over 85 million subscribers nationwide.

For the first nine months of 2021,  Globe has built 1,080 new cell sites and upgraded at least 12,900 mobile sites already. 

The company uses 4G LTE and 5G wireless technologies for faster download and upload, higher bandwidth, and low latency, among other benefits.

The company also completed 82 in-building sites to provide quality indoor coverage to customers for better mobile signals.

Globe claims that its 5G outdoor cover has now reached 95 percent in the National Capital Region. Its 5G connectivity is now present in over 1,900 locations as of the end September. 

Globe is also helping migrate its customers to 5G-enabled devices and offering free SIM 4G LTE/5G so that customers can experience the power of the new technology.
