Huawei outs Watch GT Runner with 1.43-inch AMOLED screen and HarmonyOS support!

The Chinese tech giant unleashed the Watch GT Runner that is claimed to be designed especially for runners.

A sportier version of the Watch GT 3 with a lightweight build

Huawei has launched the new Runner variant of its Watch GT series, along with MateBook E, MateStation X, and VR Glass 6DoF. 

The watch's body is made from a high-strength composite fiber case to create a strong, thin, and wear-resistant case. Allegedly, it draws design inspiration from the supercar grille. The whole build is 5ATM water-resistant.

The company equipped this new smartwatch with a precision ceramic bezel and a titanium crown. In front, it comes in at 46mm and has a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen. Inside, it sports 4GB storage, GNSS positioning, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity though no cellular connection. 

Watch GT Runner also has an onboard microphone and speaker meaning you can take calls from your connected phone. In terms of battery life, the watch allegedly can last up to 14 days of use without charging.

Route sharing through an external antenna

This watch features Huawei TruSeen 5.0 optical heart rate module, SpO2 measurements, and activity tracking for over 100 sports modes. Aside from that, the Watch GT Runner features a hidden floating external antenna. 

The purpose of this antenna is to achieve dual-frequency five start precise positioning, route sharing, and trajectory return. These functionalities can help runners to experience interesting and safe sports activities.

Moreover, the Watch GT Runner can smartly assess running levels and provide users personalized scientific training plans, and dynamically adjust sports plans. These plans are said to be designed for the runners in terms of training or on-ground exercises.

The Huawei Watch GT Runner is now available for pre-order and will officially go on sale from November 26 in China. However, no news yet if this is going to be released in other countries in the future.
