More consumers experience DITO's network
Its chief administrative officer Adel Tamano announced this development on Monday.
As of December 18, DITO has hit 5M subscribers, just nine months after our commercial launch, and has earned more than PHP 2 billion in revenues from our prepaid services, Tamano said.
This, as the group further expands its network to cover over 500 areas across the country. DITO also built more than 4,100 towers and laid out 22,000 kilometers of fiber cable.
DITO stressed that its network of towers is more than enough to service its current number of subscribers.
In a virtual briefing, Tamano expressed bullishness about the company's 2022 performance, saying "our ambitions are much bigger".
It bears repeating that some have said that rolling out DITO in the time given was impossible. Our milestones speak for themselves, and we look back with gratitude to our regulators, our DITO team members, our more than 5M DITOzens and all those who have inspired us and pushed us to remain true to our commitment, Tamano said
By the end of next year, more Filipinos will experience its mobile services as the group hopes to add about 300 more areas.
